Charity Shop Threads
I rarely buy clothes from charity shops, simply because I can't be bothered to look through the rails and it seems that I never see anything when I do look. Much easier to quickly scan the homeware shelves for vintage goodies. I have managed to find the odd vintage dress in the past but I don't really have the patience to trawl through the dross to find the good stuff.
However, over the last couple of weeks, I have found some pretty blouses/shirts that I wanted to share with you.
First up is this white linen shirt from The White Company for £4. I have already worn this a couple of times and it feels cool and airy; would probably be a great pool-side cover up. Not the best photo in the world but it was a windy day and I don't really like modelling!
Next up is a pretty floral blouse from Zara for curly girly. She isn't sure if she likes it yet, but at £2.99 I think it was worth a punt and I reckon she will grow to love it. She has definitely settled on blue clothing as being her favourite colour to wear.
Finally, a pretty blouse by a French label I've never heard of. Curly girly likes this and it works well with leggings or denim shorts; another bargain at £1. Again, not a brilliant photo but curly girly wasn't in the mood for posing and was constantly fidgeting and running about!
The kids are back to school towards the end of next week, so we will be back to our regular round up of charity shop goodies on a Friday. I will also work on some much better photographs. All of my photo's are taken on my iPhone or iPad when I can wrestle it out of the hands of a child. I am hoping for a decent camera for my birthday so that I can take some quality snaps.

Love a charity shop find! I remember as a kid having Abercrombie tshirts that mum found for 99p! :) x
ReplyDeleteI only buy quality labels from charity shops - you know they're going to last :)
DeleteThe linen shirt looks like a great find. Pity the blue floral one wasn't an adults size eh?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing more of your charity finds.
Don't forget Kitsch and Stitch Vintage and Makers' Fair on the 7th September. (Sorry about the plug, but I know you will pop in. xx)

Definitely a Friday Feature x
DeleteRed Cross in Tenterden (the one by Waitrose) is worth a punt. Daughter the first spent a good £30 there and got about 8 gorgeous items.Of course it helps that she is a size 10 - 12 and lithe!

Hi Nicky - Yes, I always pop in there when I get the chance - I must make more of an effort to look through the rails. Well done to your daughter for getting so much stuff for only £30! x
